Counting Blessings

From Doris: My oncologist said my blood work this week was “amazing.” I do not have any more treatment changes scheduled.  My life should settle into a cancer treatment routine for the next 19 months. My grandniece completed her leukemia treatments and got to go home. She spent most of the last seven months in the hospital. I love living in Eagle where autumn is gorgeous. This time of year I sit on the couch in the front room in the mornings and rejoice over sunshine.  We went on four walks this week.  Each lasted at least twenty minutes.   Walking outside helps me feel Heavenly Father’s love. I have a little more energy than I did last week.

Music

Music From Doris: Because 1. Because He walked the path, I know the way. Because He calmed the storm, I’m not afraid. Because He made the lame to walk and caused the blind to see And blessed the children one by one, I feel His love for me. And I will praise forever The Savior of the world, And I will sing together With all the Saints on earth. Because He gave to me ev’rything He had to give, I breathe, I see, I hope, I love, I live. 2. Because He died for me, I’ll live again. Because He is my Friend, I’ll follow Him. Because He fills the world with light, I’m filled with hope and peace. And when He comes to earth again, I’ll kneel before His feet. And I will praise forever The Savior of the world, And I will sing together With all the Saints on earth. Because He gave to me ev’rything He had to give, I breathe, I see, I hope, I love, I live.

Inspirational Quote

From Doris: Dieter F. Uchtdorf  October 2025 General Conference   Faith in Jesus Christ is a gift, but receiving it is a conscious choice that requires a commitment of all our “might, mind and strength.” It is a practice of every day. Every hour. It takes constant learning and determined commitment. Our faith, which is our loyalty to the Savior, becomes stronger as it is tested against the opposition we face here in mortality. It endures because we keep nourishing it, we keep actively applying it, and we never give up.
