Map Interpretation

Image
Original Map From Amy: I am maybe influenced by Todd's (our grandson) love of Winnie the Pooh but this looks like a Heffalump to me! Original Image From Andrew: Sonic on a tricycle. For the record, this is Sonic

Music

From Doris: O Divine Redeemer Ah! Turn me not away Receive me tho' unworthy; Hear Thou my cry Behold, Lord, my distress! Answer me from thy throne Haste Thee, Lord to mine aid Thy pity shew in my deep anguish! Let not the sword of vengeance smite me Though righteous thine anger O Lord! Shield me in danger, O regard me! On Thee, Lord, alone will I call O Divine Redeemer! I pray Thee, grant me pardon And remember not, remember not my sins! Forgive me, O Divine Redeemer! Night gathers round my soul; Fearful, I cry to Thee; Come to mine aid, O Lord! Haste Thee, Lord, haste to help me! Hear my cry! Save me Lord in Thy mercy; Come and save me O Lord Save, in the day of retribution From Death shield Thou me, O my God! O Divine Redeemer, have mercy! Help me, my Saviour!

Inspirational quote

From Doris: Ronald M. Barcellos | October 2025 General Conference "The Savior taught that if our hearts are fully turned to Him, because of His atoning sacrifice we can be blessed with the strength and spiritual gifts we need to overcome our mortal challenges, resist temptation, receive direction and understanding, and feel joy and peace in our lives."

Scripture

From Doris:   John 13:35 By this shall all  men  know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Did you know?

From Doris: Our family has walked 627.20   miles to Bristol. Writing this blog helps me to process my cancer journey.   My grandniece got to ring the bell, signifying her cancer treatments are over! Lachlan likes to look at the spooky scary skeletons in our neighbor’s yards.

Counting my blessings

From Doris: Kyle’s family came over on Saturday, and I got to hold Ewan.  He is a precious little boy. Kyle received permission from his bishop to give Ewan a name and a blessing at our home this afternoon. It was a special experience. This would normally have been done in Kyle’s sacrament meeting. Greer came over Friday evening and helped put family photographs back on our walls.  Paul went to an organ concert at the Cathedral of the Rockies in downtown Boise where Richard Elliot was the organist. The color of autumn leaves is almost at its peak. I love going outside. The fall beauty nearly takes my breath away. Paul and I went on four walks this week. My quilt cabinet is back in the family room and is filled with quilts. We brought up boxes of items for the hutch from the basement and filled up the hutch. Amy is coming to visit us in a couple of weeks. Two friends came to visit me this week. I was able to attend the first part of our sacrament meeting tod...

Grieving

From Doris: Pain is a part of every day.

Tender Mercy

From Doris: God gave me the strength and capacity to attend the temple this week.

General Update

From Paul: Cycle 5 (Continued) Each day presents to us a series of choices, and blessings intermingled with challenges. We understand that we have choices as they relate to both blessings and challenges. In 1843, The Prophet Joseph Smith recorded a revelation in which we are taught: Doctrine & Covenants 132:5 “For all who will have a blessing at my hands shall abide the law which was appointed for that blessing, and the conditions thereof, as were instituted from before the foundation of the world.” What that means to me is that if I desire a blessing from God, I need to study out the relationship with what I am desiring with the law associated with obtaining that blessing. Doctrine & Covenants 130:20-21 “There is a law, irrevocably decreed in heaven before the foundations of this world, upon which all blessings are predicated— And when we obtain any blessing from God, it is by obedience to...
