Did you know?

From Paul:

Epoxy anchoring adhesive gel and cure times vary according to the ambient temperature at the time of application. Gel time is the window during which you have to set the anchors. Cure time is when the epoxy is fully effective. Between 67 and 74 degrees Fahrenheit the gel time is four minutes minutes.  Once the temperature reaches 86 degrees, the gel time decreases to one minute.  Cure time is 40 minutes between 67 and 74 degrees Fahrenheit. If the temperature is below 50 degrees, the cure time is 40 hours. This table is on the tube of epoxy, but I could not read it without a magnifying glass in order to read it.

From Doris:

According to our son, Tom, Iowa has a state law that says schools cannot begin their fall schedules before the conclusion of the Iowa State Fair.

Paul often rubs my neck or runs his fingers through my hair when I am dealing with a tension headache. We have learned that people notice. This week four different women came up to us while we were waiting for my appointment with the oncologist. Each said the same thing: “How do I get in line for this?” Paul’s response was, “There is a waiting period of 44 years.” (The amount of time we have been married.)
