Counting my Blessings

 From Doris:

God does leave me alone to battle cancer.  I am confident in my medical care, but it is not sufficient. I need Heaven’s help to get through each day.

My biopsy wound is healing.  The infection is gone.

I will not be undergoing an infusion or taking chemo pills this upcoming week.  Paul’s birthday is this week and I should feel well enough to enjoy the celebration.

Our vincas are gorgeous.

Tracy brought me my favorite smoothie and visited me this week.  She came on a day when I was discouraged.

We rediscovered Bent Corners, a local used bookstore. I appreciate that the books there are displayed according to genres and each section is alphabetized by the author’s last name. I love to read and used bookstores are not as busy as a Barnes and Noble.

At church today Ryan Stewart shared a portion of his patriarchal blessing as part of his testimony “your trials in life are necessary, so look upon them as beneficial to provide the setting of growth and learning.” I appreciated this approach to trials.

We were able to spend time with Kyle’s family - both in person and using Google Meet..
