Counting Blessings

 From Doris:

Paul and I went on mile walks two different times this week.

We went to the temple again.

This week I was blessed my many people who reached out to me. I had friends from Idaho, Utah and Arizona send me texts.

We had a FaceTime visit with our bonus daughter Tatiana. She and her family live in England.

My sister Julie is visiting us. She arrived on Friday and returns home on Tuesday. She made us multiple loaves of homemade whole wheat bread. Her bread tastes amazing.

Julie is a truly compassionate and caring woman.

For Music and the Spoken Word. This morning the focus was on the hymn “His Eye is on the Sparrow.” This hymn is very special to me. It will always remind me of my friend, Marilyn.

Our local family visited us yesterday and today.

We had a week of warmer temperatures along with blue skies and sunshine.

With the exception of the basement bedrooms and our three bathrooms, our entire house has been repainted. The lighter tan color is wonderful.

We were able to attend our ward’s sacrament meeting today. I was especially moved when we sang the following words from the sacrament hymn, In Humility, Our Savior.

Let me not forget, O Savior,

Thou didst bleed and die for me

When thy heart was stilled and broken

On the cross at Calvary.
