Counting My Blessings

 Doris:

Counting my Blessings

Lachlan came over on Paul’s birthday and ran up to me and gave me a great big hug. It filled my heart with joy.

Thursday was Paul’s birthday and because I did not have an infusion this week, we were able to celebrate it.  We went to the temple together!

I was able to order gluten free chocolate cupcakes from Rachel Bowden for Paul’s birthday. They tasted better than any other gluten free chocolate baked desserts we’ve had.

I learned at the wound clinic that my wound is not infected and the redness around it is simply inflammation.

When we changed the wound dressing on Friday, the wound looked much better than it did on Wednesday.

Because I am still on treatment hold, I can take ibuprofen for pain.

My back patio has become a place of refuge.

Paul finished installing railings from our back door, down concrete steps to our back patio.

Paul created a timber mat for me out of four 4 x 6 pressure treated timbers.  It is placed by our front door. I used to have a 10 ½” step down from our front door to the front porch.  Now I only have a 5” step down to the mat.

We were able to attend part of sacrament meeting today.

Paul was sustained as a family history consultant.

We have the opportunity to spend time with our newest grandson.

We are being blessed by the prayers of many good people.
